Smudging is a powerful cleansing ritual used by many cultures around the world. The burning of certain herbs such as sage, lavender or cedar has been used for centuries for emotional, psychic, and spiritual purification or as a blessing for a person in need. Sage is a potent antiseptic, antioxidant, an excellent natural disinfectant. As even the happiest homes accumulate in time negative vibrations, it is good to smudge your home thoroughly at least several times a year. You can also smudge your office space; as well as use smudging to clear your own energy, pets or the energy of other people.
 
Burn the Sage or Palo Santo and speak out loud a smudging prayer/intention.  Example:  “I am cleansing this space of negative energy, thoughts, intentions, and entities.  I am a powerful being of Light and Love and this is my sacred space; anything not of my highest good needs to leave.  When You have completed your smudging ritual place remaining sage/palo santo in the abalone shell.  Abalone shells are used for smudging incense and sage as well as palo santo wood for energy cleansing purposes. Its a beautiful shell that can hold many of your favorite crystals and leftover sage.
 
Himalayan Salt is also known as ‘Pink Halite’ and yes, it is a form of (edible) crystal. It has many metaphysical properties and benefits.  For centuries pure salt has been used for protection; protection from evil, especially protection in and around the home. Salt is also used for purification, cleansing and dispelling negativity in many magical and traditional rituals. Pure Salts are also used to release attachments, including emotional attachments.
